The goal of the MacKinnon Royal Dance Institute is to provide students of all ages with the skills they need to enjoy dance for a lifetime. We trust their time with us will enrich them as well as their community.

The MacKinnon Royal Dance Team Perform Hip Hop Routine and Score Silver Award At Hollywood Connection Regional Championships in Denver

Loveland, CO - The MacKinnon Royal Dance Institute of Loveland, CO received their first accolade under the new ownership of Meredith MacKinnon, Saturday, February, 12, 2011 at the Hollywood Connection Regional Championships. "I was thrilled at the team's performance and the personal growth and dance experience that they gained at the convention," said Ms. MacKinnon. "Receiving the Silver Award exceeded my expectations and really showed the dancers, that with hard work anything is possible." The MacKinnon Royal Dance Team comprised of two girls Maddie Austin (8 years of age) and Kylee Hein-Nutz (7 years of age), and two boys Rowan Dinkey (12 years of age) and Zeke Schissell (11 years of age) performed a hip hop routine. The competition featured over one hundred teams all vying for the championship and the opportunity to compete at the national finals in Burbank, CA. Participants also had the opportunity to participate in master classed that ranged from musical theatre to tap, jazz and lyrical. The MacKinnon Royal Dance Institute recently changed ownership and provides the Northern Colorado community with the opportunity to experience all forms of dance and the performing arts.
